Welcome to SN ART. By exploring our catalog and placing inquiries or orders, you agree to follow the terms below, which are designed to support and protect our community of master artisans in Jammu & Kashmir.
1. Artisan Craft & Authenticity
SN ART guarantees that all catalog items are authentic, certified products sourced directly from local Kashmiri artisan families. Items labeled with "GI-Tagged" are certified Geographical Indications verifying authentic regional heritage.
2. Handmade Variations
Because our creations—including hand-spun Pashmina shawls, lacquer papier-mâché, hand-carved walnut wood, and willow tokri baskets—are entirely made by hand using traditional looms and chisels, minor variations in pattern, texture, size, and coloring are natural. These differences are not flaws, but rather the unique signature of individual craftsmanship.
3. Custom Orders & Commissions
Custom commissions (such as personalized wood carvings, special shawl weaving codes, or size modifications) require a 50% advance deposit. Once production begins, custom commissions cannot be cancelled or refunded, as raw materials are explicitly acquired for the artisan's labor.
4. Shipping, Transit & Insurance
We provide secure shipping across India, with free shipping on orders above ₹2,500. Due to the handcrafted nature and intensive labor of some products, delivery timelines may vary. All high-value shipments include full transit insurance coverage.
5. Returns & Handcrafted Care
Standard items can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of delivery, provided they are in their original, unused condition. Customers are responsible for reviewing and adhering to the specific care guides provided (e.g. strict dry clean instructions for Pashmina wool, avoiding dry heat/moisture for walnut wood).
6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any legal disputes or claims arising out of transactions with SN ART shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.
